Hello Friends!
Many of you have walked with us as we have navigated the long road in the schooling department with Gideon because of his overwhelming emotions. Gideon has such a dynamic personality that brings joy to so many. He is constantly giving of what he has just to see others smile. He never meets a stranger and loves so fully. He feels ALL emotions with an intensity that can make it difficult for him to calm and focus in a classroom environment.
As you may or may not know, Gideon started attending Oak Creek Academy in July. This is a school for children with learning differences who may struggle in a traditional classroom environment. The school has provided him opportunities to thrive and grow beyond what we had hoped. All of the staff have been specially trained to teach students with learning differences. They observe Gideon, and work with Gideon where he is and in a way that allows him to flourish. We’re so thankful for the school and how they support Gideon and our family.
Will you join me in supporting Oak Creek Academy's Urgent Need? - 6 Classrooms without Heating this Winter!
- Oak Creek Academy provides a warm and safe learning environment for exceptional learners in Bell County - and they are the only school of it's type in Central Texas!
- As we move into the fall and winter months, as many as 6 of their classrooms will be without heating. Their current HVAC units in these classrooms do not work with many others not far behind - due to the age and condition of these units, replacing them at once provides Oak Creek Academy with a long term, more cost effective solution.
- I'm asking you to support me in helping Oak Creek Academy to purchase 25 new HVAC units.
This one of a kind community deserves classrooms that are conducive to safe teaching and learning. Let's help them keep their kids warm and safe!
